Dr. Edward Joyce

Founder and present co-director of the studios. A teacher of teachers and advanced dancers, he has taught at dance conventions and seminars throughout the United States, specializing in all forms of tap and ballroom dancing, as well as dancing in, choreographing routines for, and directing musicals across Europe while he was in the U.S. Army. For years, he was the National Vice-President of the National Association of Dance Affiliated Artists. He serves as the choreographer for the advanced tap production numbers presented by the students of the Joyce Dance Studios, as well as teaching children's classes for all ages in the dance arts.

Geraldine T. Joyce

Present co-owner of the studios. A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, along with studying all the dance arts locally, she studied ballet with leading teachers in Chicago. For seven years, she opened and operated the Gerrie Tauter School of Dance in Grand Rapids, Michigan prior to joining her husband as the co-director of the Joyce Dance Studios. Mrs. Joyce has taught all forms of dancing to teachers and advanced dancers at dance seminars throughout the Nation. She currently serves as ballet mistress and choreographer for the advanced ballet production numbers presented by the studios, as well as teaching children's classes in all forms of the dance.

Tom Joyce

Co-manager of the studios and teaches all levels of the dance arts, from pre-school through adults. With 40 years of experience, he can also boast 45 years of dance training, received locally from his parents and at dance seminars for advanced students and teachers, studying with well-respected teachers from the dance seminars in the Northeast,Tri-State Area. Tom serves as the music director/arranger for the studios and is responsible for ensuring "the best" in musical selections to accompany the studio dancers.

Ronalee Joyce Stackhouse

Co-manager of the studios and has taught children and adults in all the dance arts for over 38 years. Having studied locally as a child, she participated in dance seminars for advanced dancers in New York City, as well as in Delmavar, Carolinas, and Tri-State Areas. Highly respected at the studios for her teaching of classes to all ages, she, along with her brother Tom, is responsible for the choreography of the Jazz production numbers. Ronnie is the teacher and presenter for the featured tap/jazz workshop production numbers danced by the selected advanced students. Ronnie also serves as the schedule master, co-costume designer, and recital coordinator.

Teaching Staff

The Joyce Dance Studios proudly boasts that its entire professional staff is Joyce trained with all members having been students of the studio before becoming teaching members. Collectively, they represent over 200 years of dance!
